The Democratic Republic of Congo could be supplied passenger trains and undergo possible railway projects after talks with Russian railway monopoly RZD.
An RZD delegation attended a meeting on Monday regarding the construction of railroads in high temperature conditions in the Congo.“The two sides…also showed interest in locomotives, first of all, passenger trains with mileage,” an RZD spokesman said.
The railroads in the country are mostly used by agricultural and mining companies. The building of new railroads forms part of the government’s infrastructure development plan.
