ACSA not to blame for 1time collapse | Infrastructure news

The Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) has said that they are not to blame for the demise of 1time Airlines.

The North Gauteng High Court placed the struggling airline under provisional liquidation after attempts to resuscitate the business failed.

According to Acsa spokesperson Solomon Makgale, they were very supportive throughout the process.

1time was a client “and as such Acsa’s wish for the airline was for it to find a way out of its financial difficulties”, he said.

A business rescue plan had been submitted for the airline, and then withdrawn.

Business rescue allows companies in with financial problems to be rehabilitated under supervision and subject to a court order.

Acsa had been advised that a new plan would be available this month, but the liquidation had been filed before the new plan was issued.
