DHL Express has will be employing a new dedicated B737-400 aircraft which will be used to provide logistics services to all Nigerian cities.
This new development is part of a plan to strengthen the company’s intra-Africa air network and to improve the connectivity between the county’s major cities. Nigeria have recently been certified by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to provide domestic cargo services which should increase the profitability of the Nigerian aviation industry whilst also ensuring that parcels and goods are delivered on time. The new cargo aircraft will operate out of Lagos and will provide services into, out of and within Nigeria.
According to Managing Director (Anglophone Africa), DHL, Randy Buday, there are no other carriers in Africa that offer a dedicated air network. The amount of trade within the country will be boosted by the new undertaking seeing as it is the first dedicated express cargo plane in Nigeria. With an aircraft and service solely focused on delivering goods, the volume of deliveries will substantially increase.
