The Chemical & Allied Industries’ Association is hosting two responsible care process safety workshops. The first will be held in Johannesburg on 14 March at the Country Club in Auckland Park and the second in Durban on 15 March at Sica’s Guesthouse.
The major objective of process safety management of highly hazardous chemicals is to prevent fires, explosion and unwanted release of such chemicals, specifically where it can expose employees and the public to serious hazards. This workshop has the primary objective of promoting effective process safety management programmes within chemical companies. Its aim is to share process safety best practices and to identify ways in which process safety management can be enhanced.Companies involved in transporting hazardous chemicals have until 13 March to register for either of the workshops and further information can be obtained from Louise Lindeque on rcare@mweb.co.za.
