Highway patrol vehicle operation launched | Infrastructure news

Increasing visibility and law enforcement in the North West along the N4 and N12 highways is now the job of the recently launched provincial highway patrol. At the launch, the MEC for the Department of Human Settlements, Public Safety and Liaison, Nono Maloyi handed over 55 vehicles to be used by traffic officials for enforcing the law on  these two highways.

The MEC launched the highway patrol after delivering his departmental budget vote at the North West Provincial Legislature.

Maloyi says,“We want to make sure that road traffic laws are adhered too and we have capable men and women who are energetic, enthusiastic, and fit to protect and enforce the law on our roads.”
