Heading up two portfolios for freight forwarding and logistics company Savino Del Bene SA, Rob Doe takes over as the company’s African Business Development Manager and Export Manager.
Rob says, “My experience in West Africa and Namibia will be invaluable in opening offices and agencies in countries such as Zambia and Mozambique and to bring the company’s name to the forefront of the import and export trade in the region.
“We will capitalize on our partnership with Imperial Logistics to offer good rates on the one hand, and to take advantage of the well-established footprint the company has into Africa. Presently we are moving in excess of 2000mt of copper cathodes per month and mirroring that up with chemical imports with the aim of balancing the exports with imports into DRC and Zambia via Walvis Bay.”
