This week marks National Water Week, a campaign aimed at re-emphasising the value of water and the need for sustainable management of this scarce resource. The awareness campaign runs from the 18th to the 24th of March. The Department of Water Affairs is using it to inform citizens on the importance of saving water and to highlight the role water plays in eradicating poverty and under-development in South Africa.
