Bridge over Zambezi ready by September | Infrastructure news

The second bridge over the Zambezi River linking the Mozambican city of Tete to the Moatize district, is due to be concluded by September.

The new bridge is located five kilometres downstream from the current Samora Machel Bridge, is 715 metres long and 14.8 metres wide.

The project costing 105.2 million euros, which began in April 2011, also includes repairing 160 kilometres of road linking the city of Tete to the borders with Zimbabwe and Malawi.
