Costing US$315 million, a 74 kilometre road to improve the flow of traffic along the National Road 1 in Mozambique is expected to be opened in April 2015

Paulo Fumane, chairman of the Maputo development company Empresa de Desenvolvimento de Maputo, says the construction of this route known as the Maputo Ring Road was awarded to the China Road and bridge Corporation.

The 74 kilometre road between Praia da Miramar and the town of Marracuene, also includes the construction of six bridges and three junctions geared at improving the flow of traffic along this route.
