Ebola outbreak: Latest update | Infrastructure news

Due to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC, a directorate has been issued within the SADC region that trucks and drivers are not allowed to enter from the DRC. Click here to view.

According to FESARTA there is currently a screening process which constitutes of a questionnaire and viral signs for drivers entering Botswana from the DRC.

Drivers who do not seem to manifest any symptoms will be allowed entry into SA. But they will not be allowed to return to the DRC until the pandemic is resolved.

SA resident drivers will be allowed transit through Botswana to return home but will then not be allowed back to the DRC.

DRC residents will not be allowed transit through Botswana at this stage unless returning to the DRC.
