Power and Electricity World Africa expo has dominated the power and energy show space in Africa since 1997 and is Africa’s longest running and largest.

And 2015 sees a massive event taking place on 24-25 March 2015 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Together with The Water Show Africa exhibition, this year’s exhibition has 6000 attendees networking with solution providers in three halls and thousands of square metres. And exhibition pass entry is free.

We spoke to Wayne Harris of the Power and Electricity World Africa about what you’ll see at this year’s exhibition. Here are some of the show features you’ll experience:

1. The Seminars – Knowledge building sessions: Be equipped with hands-on knowledge on the opportunities around retired coal-fired generation plants, strategies to optimise the load step performance, the value of PV versus energy efficiency and many more.

2. Product launches and live demonstrations onsite: Sponsors and exhibitors will be hosting product launches, demos and expert speakers at their stands on the exhibition floor. Join industry game changers onsite who will be showcasing their latest products like Helukabel, Victron Energy and Landis + Gyr and more.

3. The Exhibition – Solutions and networking: The exhibition showcases over 350 of the latest solutions in the power and energy sector. With three packed exhibition floors to see, you won’t miss out on solutions that can keep the lights on – 2015 has grown to a massive 14 000 square metres.

4. The networking app: No-fail networking from beginning to end with 6,000 attendees.  There’s also dedicated

 on-floor meeting hubs to setup your meetings.

And the big news of the event is that  The Africa Energy Awards is awarding US $30 000 to top African inn

ovators. In a bid to encourage innovation in the African energy sector, The Africa Energy Awards will award US$30 000 to Africas top energy innovator.
