The Kenya roads board is proposing to increase the fuel levy from the current nine shillings in a move the agency hope will see it raise revenues to bolster its roads maintenace budget. The board, which is charged with road maintenance and construction, wants the government to raise the levy by a minimum of three shillings, which could push it to 12 shillings.
