Meet Aurecon’s new MD for infrastructure | Infrastructure news

Geoff Linke has been appointed as the Managing Director for Aurecon’s Infrastructure Market, which includes Transport and Water, effective 2 February 2015.

Geoff commented, “I am very excited to be undertaking to be undertaking this role, leading Aurecon’s very strong Transport and Water teams, who are delivering critical infrastructure for our clients and our communities.”

“With our global reach and our highly qualified, skilled and experienced specialists, we are able to respond to our clients’ needs across the infrastructure life cycle,” he added.

Geoff is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and has held senior roles in the public and private sectors, with over 20 years of experience as a practising engineer.

Since joining Aurecon in 2013, Geoff has managed Aurecon’s Adelaide / Melbourne Delivery Centre where he was responsible for optimising performance and driving growth.

Geoff was previously the General Manager, Strategy at Sinclair Knight Merz where he led the firm’s strategic planning programme over two years, building a global investment portfolio across targeted markets, geographies and services. In previous SKM roles, he was General Manager, Water and Environment and Regional Manager Queensland.

New Executive Committee appointments

Aurecon Global Chief Executive Officer Giam Swiegers, who joined the company on 2 February 2015, has expanded its Executive Committee to 12 members, with four key executives promoted to the new role of Managing Director for each of Aurecon’s four key markets:

  • Clive Ross, Managing Director, Advisory & Asset Management
  • James Bennett, Managing Director, Built Environment
  • Glenn Hooper, Managing Director, Energy & Resources
  • Geoff Linke, Managing Director, Infrastructure
“These promotions to Aurecon’s Executive Committee support our focus on client centricity and market growth. These are four very senior executives who will have a significant impact on Aurecon’s success,” Giam Swiegers said.

The new Managing Directors will join Aurecon’s four Regional Managing Directors as well as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Business Development Officer on the Executive Committee.
