Five apps for water and wastewater professionals: Part 1 | Infrastructure news

The world is currently faced with a crisis due to the spatial distribution of water. The increasing demand of water resources and the decline in water quality generally presents severe constraints in development.

With that said we realise just how important working in the water and wastewater industry is and we encourage anything that makes a water professional’s job easier, so that they can get back to doing the work that matters.

These five apps will do exactly that.

Water and Waste Management Engineer

This application contains over 200 specialised and 600 conversion formulas needed by water and waste management engineers. Major areas currently covered in the program include: Area Formulas, Groundwater, River Pollution, Sewer Pipe, Sewage Treatment, Storm Runoff and Water Flow.

Wateropolis

This app is developed by water treatment professionals with over 20 years of experience. Designed to provide fast accurate results in any demanding situation, Wateropolis features five free formulas that give you access to more key formulas, convertors and look-up tables. You can use the free email feature to share your results with your colleagues, co-workers, or simply save your data for later use.

Water Calcs

This application is a library of the more common calculations Water Treatment Service Engineers would need. Current calculations include softener sizing, reverse osmosis performance and normalisation, and silt density (Fouling) index calculations. The app is currently set-up for UK units, but will be developed to include additional calculations, conversions and unit systems.
