The East African region offers massive potential for transport infrastructure expansion and investment, and with Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda having unveiled grand plans to build, enhance and expand their infrastructure both nationally and regionally that has helped to make them one the favoured destination for investments and transformation in the East African Community (EAC).
East Africa is in need for a good transport infrastructure system that links to stimulate economic growth and to create job opportunities which in turn calls for an increased role of the private sector. However, the region’s ongoing efforts to increase intra-regional trade, through the strengthening of the East African Community (EAC) regional trading bloc, have attracted the attention of private investors and international lenders, triggering a high demand for efficient and sustainable transportation systems.
Addressing and Combating these challenges are some of the key aspects revolving around of the discussions at the “2nd Annual East Africa Transport Infrastructure Projects 2015” scheduled on 08th – 09th July 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Nairobi, Kenya.
