A construction worker has been critically injured after a four-metre fall at a construction site in Manyeleti Street in Temba, Gauteng paramedics said.

“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the ground in a critical condition,” Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.

“Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the patient, after he was immobilised on a trauma board, they airlifted him to a specialised facility for the care that he required.”

The cause of the accident was unknown.

The accident would be investigated.
