Markus Geyer has replaced Geoff du Plessis as managing director of German commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN in South Africa and the sub-Equatorial Region.

Geyer was previously the regional head of the Middle East and Africa, a position he held for five years. Until recently he was also responsible for 22 countries on the African continent.

He has served as a member of the board of directors of MAN Truck & Bus (S.A.) since 2004.  He is expected to take up the post as early as possible in 2016, subject to visa and permit requirements.
