The government has set aside close to R3 billion over the next three years to train artisans to fix water leaks.

3 000 young artisan are being trained under the War on Leaks programme in an effort to combat water loss that costs the country R7 billion annually. It is estimated that between 20 and 30% of South Africa’s water is lost due to leaks.
