Residents of Feldheim, a village south of Berlin, decided to go off grid and produce their own energy from wind and sun at the local biogas plant. This made them famous around the globe. Their solution has brought visitors from around the world who have come to find out about energy self-sufficiency as their solution serves as a role model for global communities.
