The fast-approaching SAPICS conference – the foremost event on the supply chain manager’s calendar – will see ‘Foxy Futurist’ Clem Sunter take to the stage again by popular demand.

Sharing his insights and scenarios with SAPICS delegates at Century City Convention Centre in Cape Town, which runs from 4 – 7 June, Sunter will talk about ‘The world and South Africa beyond 2017: The latest flags, scenarios and probabilities’.

An equally lively topic will be moderated in another forum at SAPICS 2017 by popular Carte Blanche presenter Derek Watts, where he will preside over the topic, ‘Trends and tribulations: What we’ve learnt and what we need to know for our supply chains to survive and thrive’. Among the panelists tasked with tackling this debate are Imperial Logistics Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer Cobus Rossouw and Woolworths South Africa Head of Supply Chain Bradley Nitsckie.

The conference has once again lined up a cornucopia of high-level speakers from around the globe, with top local supply chain experts also sharing their knowledge and expertise. Enhancing the learning experience for delegates are workshops included in the conference registration fee – and there are still a few places left.

Site visits with a supply chain focus are also on offer for delegates, including a wine farm, a pharmaceutical facility, a brewery, a soft drink factory and an aquarium.
