The City of Tshwane has partnered with the Mabopane Network Forum and Landfill Consult to support the Tshwane South College’s initiative to keep its Odi Campus clean.
Through the partnership, which was formed during National Clean up Week 2017, the City has participated in a clean-up campaign in and around the campus, as well as cleared illegal dumping spots at the open space next to Odi stadium. In a bid to strengthen relationships and formalise the partnership developed a year ago, the City’s environment and agriculture management department recently visited the Campus to celebrate National Arbor Month and National Clean-up Week.Recycling initiative
The department reaffirmed its commitment to support the campus in its efforts to get waste wise by launching a recycling initiative at the campus which comprises of fifty-five recycling bins provided by the department.“The bins will be grouped in sets of three and placed at the identified blocks on the campus, to promote a sustainable and environmentally friendly institution,” the MMC for environment and agriculture noted.
