Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) is hosting its annual Infrastructure Indaba on 6-7 March 2019 at the Durban International Convention Centre.
Held in the first week of March every year, the event aims to foster partnerships between government and the private sector, particularly the engineering sector, and capacitate the channels of service delivery through cooperation and the development of common goals. The Indaba will be a platform to engage, network and share best practice required for improved service delivery within the built environment. This year’s speaker line-up features engineers, lawyers, economists, government officials and other esteemed leaders in in key industries. The speaker list includes Industry Insightâs David Metelerkamp and LNP Attorneys Director, Ricardo Pillay discussing the âDrive for Infrastructure Investmentâ. Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Political Studies at the University of the Western Cape, Dr Steven Kuo will present âPolitical Risk Analysis in the African Contextâ.Hot topics
Aureconâs Elekanyani Ndlovu and Sibu Mvana will be joined by Umgeni Water general manager of operations, Msizi Cele in discussing the topic on âWater and Energy Security – Role of Clients and Consulting Engineersâ. The University of Fort Hareâs Professor Willie Tafadzwa Chinyamurindi will be joined by CESA Aon Awards Young Engineer of the Year, Shamiso Kumbirai to discuss the topic on the âTransformation Journey Beyond the Scorecardâ. The second day of the Indaba will have South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL)âs Dumisani Nkabinde discussing âKwaZulu-Natal Infrastructure Developmentâ. CESA Young Professionals Forum chairperson, Amanda Masondo-Mkhize will discuss the topic âCollaboration: Professionalism of the Engineering Sectorâ. Bosch Projectâs Jeshika Ramchund will join Gibbâs Gideon Pogrund in discussing âEthical Leadershipâ.
