IPP’s and the future of Eskom | Infrastructure news

South Africa is attempting to move away from its heavy reliance on coal by investing in renewable energy through the Independent Power Producer Programme.  However, unions are concerned that the split of Eskom could lead to privatisation and large-scale job losses.
