Company’s Western Cape market has exceeded expectations | Infrastructure news

A market leading supplier of a comprehensive range of world class industrial products and after sales service solutions has experienced a measurable increase in sales at its Cape Town branch.

Dowson and Dobson director Terry O’Kelly reveals that the company’s performance in the Western Cape market has exceeded expectations. He attributes this success in particular to the increased demand for the Band-It range of strapping and buckles.

According to O’Kelly, the USA-based Band-It is recognised as a world-leader in quality engineered band clamping and fastening solutions for numerous applications.

The company has seen a rise in demand for the Band-It standard steel strappings and buckles, particularly from municipalities and electrical contractors. For example, a large Cape Town-based  manufacturer, solutions provider, repairer and distributor of electro-mechanical equipment in Africahas increased its orders for Band-It 316 stainless steel coated cable ties, as a result of four major new projects in the region.

Another driver of the company’s success in the Western Cape is its accurate planning and forecasting, together with effective client communication. “Dowson and Dobson prides itself on supplying the highest quality products that are backed up by unrivalled after sales and technical support. We are also fully transparent in our dealings with customers. These factors have helped us to overcome the ongoing challenge of cheap and inferior imports,” O’Kelly concludes.
