Identifying key issues going ahead to COP 22 | Infrastructure news

The Conference of the Parties (COP) 22 begun this week and will run through till 18 November. Prior to COP 22, which is taking place in Marrakech, Morocco, a panel of energy experts and leaders from across the globe recently met to discuss the shortcomings of COP 21 and the Paris Agreement as well as the issues at stake going ahead to COP 22.

President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, who hosted the discussion, notes the “energy scavenging” that is currently being experienced throughout Africa and says: “We must focus on the energy mix for Africa that allows us as a collective to reduce the total emissions that we have,” Adesina said.
