South Africa’s Water and Sanitation minister has issued a warning that if water resources are not managed well in the country, the drought situation will persist. The minister has emphasised the importance of careful water management seeing that South Africa is naturally a water scarce country. Millions of people in East and Southern Africa have also been affected by drought since 2016.
