Russian group Kamaz plans in 2016 to start building a heavy
vehicles factory in Angola in order to sell the vehicles in Southern Africa, said Dmitri Tokarev, from the Russian embassy in Angola.
Without giving details of initial production at the factory, the Russian embassy’s attaché said that construction of the factory in Angola would have a significant impact as it would build heavy vehicles for use in the construction and public works sector.
The Kamaz group is based in Naberezhnye Chelny and startedmanufacturing heavy goods vehicles in 1976. (macauhub)
