Numsa’s looming strike: David van Wyk | Infrastructure news

Just a week the after resolution of the Amcu’s strike, the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) has announced that it is embarking on yet another strike. The union is demanding a 12% wage increase, after lowering it from 15%. Our guest this morning argues that we can’t create a market on cheap labour, and get rid of slave wages. David van Wyk is talking to us this morning, he is the chief researcher and associate at Bench Marks Foundation.
