The South African Automotive Week Conference will feature key industry and government leaders addressing pertinent issues and trends impacting on the automotive business.

Global manufacturing icon Professor Göran Roos unpacks lessons for South Africa on the dramatic collapse of Australia’s automotive industry. Whilst Aminu Jalal, head of Nigeria’s Automotive Council explains how Nigeria will establish a powerful automotive industry at the centre of Africa and what this means for South African business.

The Automotive industry Conference is the intellectual meeting place for players in the automotive and allied manufacturing supply chains.
As part of South African Automotive Week, it aims to provide a mechanism by which industry and policy makers, can review, assess and forecast the key actions required for South Africa to achieve its Vision 2020 target of producing 1.2 million vehicles locally by 2020.

Over 2 days the conference is addressed by global experts and local CEO’s, including Toyota SA CEO Dr Johan van Zyl and Nissan CEO Mike Whitfield among a host of others.

The conference runs alongside a 10 000sqm tradeshow aimed at stimulating business between buyers and sellers.
It is endorsed and hosted by the South African industry, including the National Association for Automotive Component and Allied Manufacturers (NAACAM), National Association of Automobile Assemblers of South Africa (NAAMSA), thedti (South African government) and other key stakeholders.
