South African ambassador, John Davies met with Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, Issa Haider Murad on Saturday 31 January, to discuss possible ways to improve trade relations between the two countires.

Murad indicated the notable improvement in trade balance between South Africa and Jordan with Jordan’s exports increasing from JD11million in 2010 to JD25million in 2014, while imports increased from JD15million to JD21million during the same period.

Ambassador Davies said that he will study the investment opportunities in Jordan and called upon the Jordanian private sector to visit South Africa to explore investment opportunities there.
