SkyNet Worldwide Express has achieved a Level 2 BEE rating.
The company’s enterprise development score is driven largely by its 300 owner-drivers who work for the brand, and for their own account, which creates an incentive for customer service enhancement. The rating recognises achievement in skills development, enterprise development, corporate social investment and preferential procurement, in addition to black ownership.
“Maintaining a favourable BEE rating is the right thing to do and represents an investment in the future of the company and in South Africa”, says SkyNet’s acting managing director, Herman Evert. Being a Value Adding Supplier, with 74.80% black ownership, means its clients can claim up to 156.25% of their courier spend in their own procurement scores.
