Mozambique port to be dredged | Infrastructure news

Over the next six months the port of Quelimane in Zambézia Province, Mozambique will be dredged to remove about 300 000 cubic metres of sediment.

The dredging should improve navigability on the access channel to the dock. The work, funded by state port and rail company CFM, aims to reach a depth of five metres.

The Port of Quelimane has not undergone dredging for five years.
