Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles says it has delivered 113 100 vehicles (+4.3% compared to 2015) to customers worldwide in the period January to March this year.
In Germany, the brand delivered 28 000 units (3.7% more vehicles) in the first quarter compared to the same period in 2015. The company says growth was particularly high in core European market Italy (+40.2%), Spain (+27.7%) and France (+17.6%).
Deliveries to Eastern Europe and South America were also up 2.6% and 4.1% respectively, while markets in Africa were down a significant 29.7%. Asia-Pacific and the Middle East also fell by 9.1% and 0.5% respectively.
