Cape Town water levels expected to continue upwards surge with three days of rain | Infrastructure news

The rainy season has arrived in full force and Capetonians can expect another three days of rain this week.

Cape Town received some much-needed downpours recently which resulted in an increase in dam levels.

As far as dam levels are concerned the Mother City is experiencing a steady increase with storage levels slowly pushing back up to the 50% mark.

Dam levels as of June 21 stood at 49% overall, with the lowest dams being Steenbras Lower 38.9% full and Wemmershoek 39.9% full.

Locals can expect scattered showers and chilly weather from Thursday until Sunday in the new week.

With three rainy days this week, many are looking forward to total water storage reaching the 50 percentile once again.
