Alexander residents recently took to the streets of Sandton as part of the ‘shut down Alex’ campaign after it was alleged that billions of rands were misappropriated from the Alexander Renewal Project.

Gauteng’s Human Settlement’s MEC Lebogang Maile has slammed Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba for using the Alexander Renewal Project as an excuse for lack of service delivery in the township.
