New to ASSTech’s product line up is the LLB-PTTFM 2000 portable ultrasonic transit time flowmeter, a flow and pressure measuring, data acquisition and transmission system specifically for water networks.

Sourced from Italian developer BM Technologie Industriali, who focuses on integral water solutions and services, the flowmeter is suitable for pipes from DN 50 to DN 6000 in applications such as monitoring leaks in aqueducts, pumping station control, water balance, waste water treatment, industrial process monitoring and calibration, and for hydro-electric power stations.

The unit uses both ultrasonic clamp-on sensors and insertion sensors and has a rechargeable battery with a life of one year. It can also be powered by a universal power supply. Data is acquired on an internal 4 Mb memory (266,144 acquisitions) and on an external 4 GB pen drive. The data, together with the alarms and diagnostics, can be transmitted to a remote system via the built-in GSM/GPRS modem or SMS.

The IP67 protection of the main unit and the IP68 protection of the sensors ensure high performance in tougher environments.

The advanced configuration menu guides the user in a few simple steps. With the supplied Hydroflux software that was developed for advanced management of the acquired data, users can create master data, tables and graphs, budgets etc.
