GIBB has been awarded a Level 2 BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) rating by Codex Ratings. According to Group CEO, Richard Vries, BBBEE is a critical imperative in the transformation in South Africa and GIBB embraces the spirit of this policy.

Ownership: 100% South African employee owned and managed company, with 67% allocated to black people, while 10% is in the hands of women.
Management control: highly skilled and sophisticated management team who ensure that GIBB’s sustainable growth and profitability remain at the core of the company’s ethos.
Preferential procurement: makes a concerted effort in promoting emerging black-owned businesses through preferential procurement. All suppliers are strategically chosen to transform with the company and they encourage suppliers, where necessary.
