EnviroServ Team Boosts Sustainability Hours by 43.4%, Strengthening Community Engagement Across Africa | Infrastructure news

In an impressive display of commitment to sustainability and environmental well-being, the EnviroServ team completed 1,088.5 hours of community service in 2024, marking a remarkable 43.4% increase from 759 hours in 2023.

The increase in volunteer efforts was sparked by a call to action for team members to dedicate an hour on 27 September to clean up the streets around their operational areas. Team EnviroServ, across South Africa, Mozambique, and Uganda, donned their PPE and, regardless of seniority, took the initiative to pick up litter.

“Thank you all! We are excited about what we can collectively achieve in 2024,” said Esme Gombault, Group Technical Director, under whose area of responsibility lies Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting. ESG is a framework used to assess various sustainability and ethical issues.

She noted, “This is a nice improvement, and I think everyone had fun.” The team’s dedication sets a strong foundation for continued social and environmental value and community engagement in the future.
