GCIS joins the 49M campaign | Infrastructure news

The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) and 49M are to undertake an official partnership pledge ceremony, where the GCIS will pledge its commitment to the 49M energy saving campaign tomorrow, Friday 28 June 2013
at the GCIS offices, Tshedimosetso House.

The 49M initiative that includes government, Eskom, big players in industry and commerce, and is aimed at all 49 million of  South African citizens, in an effort to inspire and rally all South Africans behind a common goal –“save electricity and create a better economic, social and environmental future for all.”

According to the 49M campaign, saving power is really about changing attitudes and making small changes in our everyday life.

According to the official invite by the GCIS, at the partnership launch ceremony the GCIS will communicate its energy saving efforts and how it plans to mobilise its employees and stakeholders to be active participants in this worthy campaign.
