The chairman of the Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance (Outa), Wayne Duvenage, has resigned from Avis.
Duvenage’s last day at Avis is 31 July. “Yes I can confirm that but I will continue in my role as chairman of Outa,” he said in a telephonic interview.“This is a decision that I have been contemplating for some months now and it’s time for change and I’m a believer in change.”
“My relationship with Avis is strong as it has ever been,” he said. The e-toll project was recently put on hold due to an urgent application filed in the Pretoria High Court by Outa.
