Port of Ngqura appeals to USA’s Dachser | Infrastructure news

Dachser USA, the American division of global logistics service provider Dachser, has opened a branch in Port Elizabeth.

According to Detlev Duve, managing director of Dachser South Africa, the new branch “has been in the pipeline for some time.”

Dachser has four branches in South Africa now as there were existing offices already in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The Port of Ngqura in Port Elizabeth has presented an opportunity to Dachser with regards to extending their reach in the country.

“It is important to us to offer … a transport solution and a connection to our global logistics network from Port Elizabeth to the rest of South Africa,” Thomas Reuter, managing director Dachser Air & Sea Logistics, says.

The new branch has created various job postings in the region as it was report that staff has been hired from the Port Elizabeth area.

The new Port Elizabeth branch office is managed by Harold Thomas.
