Wacker Neuson was represented at the first Bauma Africa, which took place from September 18th to 21st 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a growth market, the continent plays an important role for the Wacker Neuson Group. The manufacturer of compact machines and construction equipment presented new and proven products and solutions in the open air area and invited trade fair visitors to test the machines.
“Africa is a market with great potential,” says Cem Peksaglam, CEO of Wacker Neuson SE. “We are already represented in several African countries with our range of light construction equipment, and have enjoyed particular success with our equipment for soil compaction, as well as in the field of concrete technology. However, we feel that we can generate more demand for both our light and compact equipment ranges by selling products that are even better tailored to the needs of local customers.” Bauma Africa offered Wacker Neuson the possibility to get existing and potential customers from all over Africa excited about the machines and construction equipment. “We had great expectations for the first Bauma Africa,” says Eugene Brown. “For us, the trade fair was a unique opportunity to show a professional audience the professionalism of Wacker Neuson and to establish contacts to new customers and potential dealers across the entire continent.”In addition to the end users, dealers were an important target group for Wacker Neuson at Bauma Africa. “We have a broad product range and the versatile application areas of our machines offer the best opportunities for sustained growth,” says Eugene Brown. “We support our dealers with technical expertise and comprehensive training sessions, a high product and service quality, a sustainable growth strategy, and offer support in all aspects of the business transaction.”
During the trade fair, products were exhibited from Wacker Neuson’s entire portfolio: Compaction technology was represented with a wide selection of rammers, vibratory plates and rollers. Electric and gas breakers were shown as well as lighting towers and various pumps.
