African Circle Pollution Management (ACPM) has been commended for its handling of ships’ waste.

Kingsley Ajah, a maritime environmental pollution expert, said that a review of sources of marine pollution showed that ACPM had worked very well to prevent environmental pollution.

Ajah believes that there has been a lot of improvement in the managing of marine pollution. He believes that people have become sensitive to the need to manage the marine environment in order to prevent the negative impacts of climate change.

“However, there is room for improvement which makes it better for all the stakeholders, including the general public, because whatever goes wrong in the marine life affects communities of people,” Ajahwas quoted as saying.
