SADC Leaders Summit opens in Zimbabwe | Infrastructure news

The newly appointed SADC chair, Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe, has urged the regional body to lessen its dependence on foreign resources. SADC gets 60 percent of its funding from foreign donations. Mugabe took over the chair from the outgoing Malawian president. The regional summit, also attended by president Jacob Zuma, is being held at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
