President Jacob Zuma will launch the 17th edition of United Nations’ World Water Development Report in KwaZulu-Natal next week as part of World Water Day celebrations. In line with the UN’s 2017 World Water Day theme – Waste Water the untapped resource – the report focuses on the critical role of wastewater management for vibrant economies, resilient societies and the maintenance of healthy environments. In addition to launching the report Zuma will, in his capacity as the Chairperson of the Heads of State Committee on the UN High Level Panel on Water, present a declaratory statement on roll-out activities of the High Level Panel on Water at domestic, regional and global level.
