The Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa (IWMSA) is hosting a three-day Hazardous Waste Management Training programme from 10 – 12 November 2015 at Plastics|SA in Midrand.
The training programme has been updated to include the new Waste Classification & Management Regulations. The course also includes a written knowledge test. The improved learner manual allows for more interactive sessions to determine if the candidates understand the contents of the material. Organisers now exclude Waste Legislation in the Hazardous Waste Management Training course as they offer a one-day Legislation Course with more learner activities, giving more time to all topics covered by both courses. Outline of the course The course is IWMSA recognised and is lectured by facilitators with years of experience in the hazardous waste field and provides comprehensive coverage of hazardous waste management. The course is lectured with exercises and culminates in a written examination. Aim of the course The aim of the course is to introduce delegates to the broader aspects of Hazardous Waste Classification and to better equip them to deal with hazardous waste generated in the industrial environment.
