Omni Water Solutions, Inc., a provider of highly automated mobile water systems for water treatment and re-use, has been granted a permit by the Railroad Commission of Texas to operate commercial water recycling units in the Eagle Ford Shale. The permit, effective immediately, enables the company to provide mobile water treatment services to oil and gas companies who are utilising hydro-fracturing techniques in the area.
“Obtaining this operating permit was a critical milestone for our company,” said Warren Sumner, CEO of Omni Water Solutions. “We look forward to providing our customers with a cost-effective solution that offers a consistent water quality to support their completion plans and conserve water throughout the Eagle Ford Shale play.” Omni Water Solutions offers the HIPPO(TM) platform for fracking operations. These mobile units come equipped with the company’s patent-pending OctoZone(TM) technology, a real-time sense and respond automation system that enables oil and gas operators to treat and re-use produced water at a lower cost with more consistent results. After treatment through the platform, the water can be re-used in subsequent wells instead of lost to disposal.“Omni’s platform validated the treatment objectives set for the Eagle Ford Shale permit,” said Billy Roberts, Director of Research and Design for Omni Water Solutions. “Our technology and our company are now well positioned to achieve permitting in other shale plays in the State of Texas.”
