The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality has outlined its plans and promises during the State of the City address in March. Now the City is ready to deliver its budget to complement its promises, thus Member of the Mayoral Committee on Finance, Clr Moses Makwakwa will deliver the city’s 2013/2014 Budget Speech on Thursday, May 30.
The budget Speech follows thorough consultative meetings with the communities of Ekurhuleni in which residents were given an opportunity to influence the budget allocations in terms of service delivery issues important to them. Metro’s spokesperson, Sam Modiba said in the light of the vital role played by the residents in influencing the budget allocations, residents should expect a people-centred budget which will without doubt address their needs. Members of the media are invited to come and witness the tabling of the people centred budget. The media is encouraged to RSVP with Nombuso Nkosi on 011 999 0022 or 0725171951 or silindokuhle.nkosi@ekurhuleni.gov.za.DETAILS OF THE EVENT:
