At the African, American and Middle East regional round of Scania’s Top Team competition, held in Brazil, the Namibian team representing Africa unfortunately did not make it through to the world finals. Competition was tough and despite a valiant effort from the African champions, the top two places went to the workshop teams from Peru and Argentina. Both teams will now compete in the world finals in Södertälje, Sweden in November.

True to Scania’s philosophy of continuous improvement, it has been developed from a national training event 24 years ago into today’s global programme.Scania Top Team 2012-2013 is the eighth such event at the international level and it is the biggest yet. An estimated 8,000 participants from over 60 countries will be trained in service-related theory and practice at Scania workshops worldwide.
The aim of Top Team is to develop the skills of Scania’s service personnel, while helping them to enhance and increase their knowledge, professionalism and customer focus. It is also all about encouraging exceptional teamwork.
