The prestigious SAICE Awards gala event for the Most Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievements for 2012/2013 was held at Emperors Palace in Gauteng on 17 October. This year SAICE received 35 project entries from across the country – a new record in SAICE history. IMIESA Magazine will profile the complete awards in its January 2014 edition, which also profile the IMESA Conference 2014, the City of Cape Town’s infrastructure development and technology in engineering.
It is often said that the beauty of civil engineering lies below the ground, however this year’s photo competition at the SAICE awards debunked that myth entirely.
